sudo privileges and rtiadminconsole

On one our CentOS system we've noticed that we have to execute RTI adminconsole with 'sudo' privileges in order to see samples published by our application.  The application (publisher) is launched on the same host as RTI adminconsole.

When 'sudo' privileges is not used the published topics appear in the DDS Logical View pane but the sample inspector does not report any samples being published.

A similar behavior is seen with 'rtiddsping'.  But, in this case, the "rtiddsping -publisher" must be executed with 'sudo' privileges otherwise the "rtiddsping -subscriber" will not see the published pings.

We're currently using RTI Connext 6 on CentOS 7.5.   Any ideas?
